I watch an auction site when anvils come up for bidding. I`ve noticed that even the light (?) ones of 50 lbs. or so bring in the several hundred dollars. I have several pieces of railroad track that I have made into anvils complete with a horn. ...

Same as with me and my #1 Redding scale. I got it in early `60`s from P&S Sales in Tulsa for about $10 as I recall. I still use the scale minus any dampening oil as I`ve become adept at `reading` the pointer swing for more or less powder.Robert

My 338/06 is a 1917 Remington Enfield that I did a good amount of grinding on. I put a Shaw barrel on and a Fajen stock. I straighten the floor plate and put a Timney trigger on. I prefer using Winchester `06 brass as R-P and Fed brass have given...

The 50 cal. kit I built back in the `80`s I wanted to give it an antique look on the ramrod, so I spiral scorched it then tru oiled it several coats. Draw filing is a process to remove rough spots and square the octagon barrel flats. Birchwood...

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that Midway Usa has the RCBS Pro melt 2 on clearance for $199. To make the deal sweeter, there is a rebate that is applicable too! That is the lowest I have found so far. Hope it makes your day!...

Back in the 1960`s I was fortunate to meet your GrandDad Elmer at a William`s Gunsight dinner for their dealers. Elmer was the guest speaker and had many funny anectdotes about his hunting adventures. I had him autograph my name tag and `rescued`...

I totally agree with this bit of advice. There has to be someone in your circle of friends that reloads, do a sit - in with them and learn by example. I learned waaaay back when all by myself the hard way (read alot of books first though). Back...

Unfortunately, BriceB passed recently. We all appreciate his work in experimenting with the M1A. He was a valuable member of our casting community. Thanks again Bruce.

A few years back I made a striking block build up of pieces of 4x4`s screwed together. The block is 3 pieces high by 3 pieces wide. The OAL is about 10". This is a sort of cushion for the puller. I hear of people beating their puller on a...

I enjoy going into my local Wally World gun dept. to buy some .22`s. My biggest thrill is a pimple faced kid asking me for some ID to prove that I`m over the age of 21! Its been so long ago that I don`t remember what 21 even looked like!Robert

I`m afraid that I wouldn`t be using that commercial ammo thru an M-1 as the type of powder used may not be very friendly with the op rod. Hornady makes M-1 friendly ammo that is designed for use in an M-1.Robert

I`m just thinking that that is costing a bunch of money to make a Mil Surp Lee Enfield shoot better. If there is a particular sentimental attachment to it then I might see the money outlay, otherwise The money could go elsewhere.Robert
