Has anyone tried the Lee 358 200 RF designed for the .35 Rem? It looks like it would come close to duplicating that OK Highway Patrol load, but with the more effective RNFP profile? If so, what load did you use? What load do you think would...

Years ago the wife and I were invited by some Utah National Guard friends to hunt with them near Nephi where I took a small 2 point muley. Several years later a friend of a friend invited me to hunt elk on public land near Monticello where I took a...

I've had my eye on one of the Miroku '95s in .405, but finding the brass is just crazy. Of course I have three Marlin .45-70 guide guns and even I would have a hard time convincing the Better Half (who shoot and knows guns) that I really should buy...

My wife has a 20-year-old Stoeger 20 ga hammerless coach gun that she shot hundreds of rounds through in over 10 years of a couple SASS cowboy shoots per month with no light strikes. Last year just for the heck of it I bought a set of the aperture...

Those are not Hawkens, they're Renegades. Hawkens have brass crescent buttplates, patch boxes and nosecaps. I do like the Renegades with their black hardware and shorter barrels better as hunting arms, though. GF

I'm planning on sticking my toe in the PC pool and am wondering if it is reasonable to PC the Gould 330 grain HP .45-70 boolit and push it to the 1,600 fps range with the coating intact? I plan to use Larry Gibson's recipe of 5# WW/5# pure lead and...

These are tacti-cool, that's for sure. I believe I read on Gabe Swarez's site, though, that he hadn't heard of an LEO situation where they needed more rounds per engagement than a standard pump gun carries, but he does like to have a side saddle...

I think that at about the time the .40 S&W started to hit the local departments they, like the Feds, had had to accept a bunch of physically smaller female recruits than the males who had previously been the only trainees. If they had to accept...
