Shot a bunch of those in 1960 in a Model 1917 Smith. Every one fired back then. They are corrosive as all get out so the warmings on cleaning are justified. Reloading of the cases resulted in many splits no doubt due to the mercuric primers. ...

Interesting stuff. Mine is in .454 Casull but feeds Colt reliably as well. I'll have to talk with you if you are going to Winemucca. I'll throw it in my car along with some cast boolit loads.

I'd won a pair of new cast iron skillets last year. Both were rough on the inside. I took one to the shop to smooth it out, left the other one rough. I used them equally, and the rough one seasoned much better and faster than the smooth one.

Lee 200 rf works great in Rossi 92 and accurate as all get out in ROA in .45 Colt Howell/Taylor's conversion cylinder. Great with Unique ( 8.0 gr. for me) but doesn't hold enough lube for Black MZ loads I tried= finally saw the crud everyone is...

I think that boolit might prove to be a great shooter for you. I have a Lachmiller version of that which comes out right at 115 grains and it's the best shooting boolit so far for me. I bought a different mould from one of our former members and...

I think it was fun making my own Felix lube but I agree that with the low price and high quality of White Label, why bother making my own.

Might want to try the probiotic called Kefir. Wally World sells it. Tastes Abit like glorified chalk water but worked for me when the yogurt wouldn't. Good luck and God speed your recovery.

You would have problems with the revolver in this area. Only one chamber at a time is permitted to be loaded at a time, due to a stupid accident by a pilgrim a few years ago. Managed to shoot himself putting the gun in a shoulder holster.

At a gun show many years ago I spotted a Kimber M-82 in 25-20 that I drooled over, but already had 3 25-20's at home. That dealer happened to be at lunch so I though I'd come back later and make a offer. Two hours later when I returned the gun was...

Go with the .25-20 by all means. I've shot both the .256 Win Mag in a Contender and then I have a re-barreled M1894 Marlin with a full magazine and a 1-12 twist barrel equipped with receiver, open and scope sights as I prefer. The .256 brass is a...

I agree that the .54 is the choice for round ball but i am thinking the .50 might do well with conical balls so got the .50 barrel with the fast twist for the conicals. When I see my way clear, I might pick up a .54 for the round ball shooting. ...

The way these old eyes let me shoot, I can't tell the difference but I'm well satisfied with the accuracy. At the same time we "bobtailed" this mould, we also made it a HP and that has improved accuracy in every case where I have HP'd a mould with...

Yup, that's the way I've done in the past. Each time I get the message a little more. Make sure the ball didn't move too. The whole muzzleloader thing is about slowing down anyway. Pay attention and these things won't happen...as often maybe.
