LB: I was at one of my LGS's yesterday and saw a Mossberg Shotgun, and was showing the girl behind the counter (Nice fully armed girl, named Julie) the difference between how it runs and a Rem 870. She understands the differences and pitfalls now,...

I have some Federal .410 slugs that are 125 gr and running 1775 fps! That is above most .357 Magnum loads. I also have a bunch of Thug Slugs I got from BPI that are 125 gr with attached wads so they should be relatively accurate. I have a...

My revolver and rifle prefer different loads. You can shoot the same load in both, but working up what works best for each gun is the best route.

That's a gawdawful countersink he cut for the vent liner. You get what you pay for! The general opinion of most other builders is, Jackie can take $700 worth of parts, and make you a fine $300 gun.

Look at your moulds, you might have something you'd like to trade for this one. A pretty rare mould. I don't see it very often. Ben

We've got a lot of griz and black bear activity here, too. Friend wants me to go shoot one out of his apple trees. Problem is, they only come at night, and I don't need the hassle of accidentally killing a griz.

If the finish is completely cured, you will leave no steel wool particles in the finish. I finished a lot of very expensive exhibition grade stocks with steel wool where such a blemish would be disaster. Never a problem.

I use some Bullplate Lube on the mold. Careful application with a Q tip. Keep it out of the cavity. I think synthetic chainsaw 2 cycle oil is the same thing.
