I will second what Sgt Mike says about 4064. I found a load of 48 gr in Ken Waters book, listed as a standard 200 yard match load with 168 match BT's. I always load jacketed similar to how Mike does, I mark them with a Magic marker and load out...

The shorter bullet (338 x 1.135) just went into the Active Buy list over at NOE and is on the schedule to be made. Anyone interested can still get on the list. Frank

For those that are interested in the 261 gr mold, please join the NOE forum. You get a 15% discount that way, too :) Then sign up on the above link and state that you want the 261 gr bullet. I would join in on it but, my rifles twist (15) won't...

Ben, It's the upper picture in the NOE link but, I'll post both here, plus the PB version. The 261 gr one doesn't look promising for a group buy and it can't be made with the same cherry as the shorter one. Only one other person is interested in...

The twist rate would be fine bullets for bullets up to 1.15 long. My 33 is a 15 twist and stabilizes bullets (simi sptizers) to 1.21 long at 1475 fps, with 200 yard, 10 shots groups under 1.5" and much smaller 5 shot groups. I think it would be a...

Sorry about the loosey shooting (the largest 10 shot group is less than .69 MOA) but, I know of no shooting records, ever made with Dacron or any other filler. Like I've posted before, fillers are a crouch for a load that isn't the best and like...

Even though I'm more of a Marlin fan because of it's easier take down, I'd go with the Win 32 Special. If you keep a eye on Ebay, you can find two very nice GC bullets, the 321297, a 181 gr (mine casts .322) and a 319295, 175 gr (mine casts...

The Borchardt has a 15 twist barrel that wasn't marked for the maker but, I bought at a Klamtha Falls gun show, 20 years ago because, it looked very nice inside with very narrow lands. It also has about .0005 chock in the muzzle but, I didn't know...

The shorter one is the only one that will work in both your calibers. The throat design is very similar in both the 338/06 and the 338 Win. Mag. and will fit the throat the same when crimped at the band that says "in case". When I designed it, I...

I agree that same hight should fine but, make sure you get blocks at least .250 tall. I have .200 on the rear and .180 on the front, on my rifle and the STS bell just clears the barrel by about .020 when set at 200 yards. Frank

We use a lot of Enforcer/4100 in the ASSRA and ISSA matches, in cases as large as 32/40 and as small as the 25/20 WCF. We get extremely good ES with it w/o any "fillers". I'd suggest trying w/o fillers first and then add them later to see if there...

Yes, I think it would. 13 - 14 would be more like PB velocitys. Start there and work up. If you have a chronograph, you can produce some valuable data for others. Frank

Ramshot Enforcer is the same powder as AA4100. Western Powders has been called to verify that. It is slightly slower than both 2400 and AA#9. You won't get in any trouble using 2400 data. You might try the Accurate Arms site for 30/30 data. ...

I think you could probaly get 2000 fps with hunting accuracy (2" @ 100) with the 234 gr bullet in any case it will fit in (338 Fed, 338/06 or 338 Mag) and I don't think that's anything to sneeze at. I doubt that a Elk would now much differance from...

There is only one way to find out. Start with the AA #9 starting load and chronograph it. If it higher velocity, #7 data may work better, if it's lower velocity H110 data will probably work with it. It shouldn't develope unsafe pressures if it...
