Time between shots isn't as critical in a gong match as it is in silhouette or target rifle. So unless you get into one of those matches, patches on a brush work fine. Check out the Bore wiper system Buffalo Arms sells. It's not cheap, but sure...

So long as your lube isn't degraded all should be well. This past August we were having just a fun weekend at the Whittington, and 3 of us were making short work of the infamous white buffalo, after we got the sights adjusted, with loads I had put...

Nylon bore brush pushing the patches thru works pretty well, if you're not using a bore pig of some variety. In that 110 you'll want to figure on a minimum of 2 damp's and 1 dry. 2 1/2 in. patches are the size I prefer in the 45 caliber rifles.

The 110 is an interesting thing to work loads up for. Fouling control gets to be a bunch more critical in these cases that use more than 90 grains. Once you find what the rifle wants then it's just a matter of keeping the powder truck coming to the...

The main benefit from a grease cookie in a target situation is the cushioning affect, but a person can achieve the same thing with a felt wad. In your Shiloh, you're going to want a .446 bullet wrapped in 8 lb paper with at the very least a .060...

You've been given good proven loads for your Shiloh on other forums. You were even provided with pictures of what that bullet in the 110 is capable of at 1000 yards. With the Swiss powder start at 102 gr. with a .060 fiber wad, when you get your...

For those wondering about push button rifling, Bob Hart thought it worked fine and Hart barrels have a very good reputation for accuracy.

You could certainly try that. Last year at Lodi a fella had a bunch of bad grease groove bullets, his option was to find other bullets or go home. So I had a bunch of extra ammunition, he could of shot in his rifle, but he opted to pull his greasers...

Shooting that lever gun you'll need to keep the overall length of the cartridge short enough to cycle thru the action, that means a 2.55 maybe 2.6 tops. Shooting patched thru it, you should be able to drop tube and compress 65 -70 grains of 2f, use...
