What John k said plus I believe some were a little sloppier than that. And after a hundred years can be even more so. Mine is at least 0.323" plus and 0.311" but we’re are cutting hairs here a bit. Did you fire form your case with a bit of...

I’m waiting for an easy to make and stable "gun cotton "so I can stuff a bit in a case like Dacron filler and away you go. Sometimes I think we are going about this wrong. Wouldn’t some how sealing the primer and a whiff of petrol do something....

Thnx for that. A long eye relief single tube 1" scope with a turret for long range work past 75 yards would be the bees knees. My good cadet with a parkerhale #7 gets me to 135yrds with very light plinker loads. 21 moa drop I think. Working on...

I believe that the German shooting houses sold pre- charged packets of powder and your favourite swagged lead projectile with a primer also. All you needed was a simple de-re capper. Once your case became too well formed the local gun smitz could...

This is my mock up of a rifle with a 16 1/2” barrelled cadet. It balances on about the trigger. Overall length is 780mm. Very short and handy like a wand. Barrell could be thinner and longer Still a lot heavier than a 4lb “boys rifle”. ...

I see what you mean. A 310 case won’t fit if a 32 s&w won’t being thinner I think. Time to get out the cleaning rod with a rag and cast that chamber. A longer cast than the distance from the barrell face to the back of the block are hard to...

I too prefer to colour in with a soft lead pencil the sprue plate and top of the mould block too Don’t migrate to the cavity. Easy peasy. Re apply or use a harder pencil to rub off build up if you get too ambitious and get smearies.

Didn’t know there was such a thing. I have been known to use a sharp 6B pencil to get into a tight corners of one mould to make it drop. A light polishing with a metal polish on a screw in a bullet works better. Some of my moulds are steel and...
