Did you resize those bullets after PC'ing them? If not they are going to be larger in diameter than .308 or .309. They might be large enough to be hitting the step at the throat of the cartridge case. That is what it looks like to me. james

im out of bullseye got lots of unique. I like to find the most accurate load but not at the expense of my rifle. I have a few ponds of W231 but i like to save that for my 9mm. Unique is so versatile i wish it metered better.

Yep, Reloader Special. It was the first press my brother bought and I used it a time or two and I liked it. In operation I could tell no difference between it and my rockchucker. Both are excellent presses. my experience anyway, james

Difference in folks I guess, I agree with #1, A little with #2, but am just the opposite on the rest. I am not a fan of the 450, but if a guy is, who am I to tell him, he is wrong. I went with 45/70 myself, and think it is the more logical choice,...

I see lyman has loads for up to 7.5 gr Unique for the 45 acp with 200 gr cast boolit. All my other books call for more in the 5-6 range. Any one here try 7 gr unique? I have tried 7 gr in my just right carbine. Very accurate but has some recoil to...

I have a. sub 2000 gen II in 9mm and love it. Lots of fun to shoot. For what it is it's really accurate. Shoots 125 gr cast boolits with no problem sized .358. I like it better than my Just Right Carbine in 45 acp which i like allot.

Well I am going to be a little different here, if you want a 450, get a 450, I would go 45/70 myself, but I am not you either. That said I would never buy a gun (any gun) because I had some handloads coming, that someone else loaded, period. If...

Depending on which drags it was, it usually ran about 15 bucks, including a pit pass. The harley drags tickets, cost a little more at 25 bucks, but the ticket was good for all 3 days too.

The ones that I saw bring the biggest crowds were the harley drags and the run what you brung anyone can race races, I have been to some pretty good drag races where, there were probably less than a hundred people in the stands too.

I don't have a vote as the only 2 choices listed are not my preference. As far as I am concerned there is only one cartridge I would want in a 1873 Winchester and that is .44-40. I love that cartridge. Beside I am a history buff and the original...

I like my 650. I have replaced a few springs in it. Keep it cleaned and lubed and works great. Just got a 45 acp conversion kit for it. Been loading a lot of 9mm to feed my hungry Keltec sub 2000. Its sits proudly next to my Rock chucker.

You can use a soft lead slug to measure the throats. If the slug needs to be bigger, put it in a vice and squeeze it to a larger size.

This is exactly what happened to mine. I bought it from my Son, who had done the "poor man's trigger job". As soon as I returned the spring to it's normal position, the hang ups went away.

Basic Information

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

óJeff Cooper, The Art of the Rifle
