That is where the main battles will be fought out on gun control, local and state governments. That is where gun owners are most complacent, which means vulnerable. Few gun owners ever go to a town hall meeting or any other government committee...

Truncated cone bullets work smooth as butter in about everything I have tried them. I like them and they are accurate too in my .45 acp and .357 magnum. I haven't tried them in a .45 colt yet. james

I have an unmolested 6mm Green Mountain barrel blank, I paid about $155 shipped for it, my projects and priorities have changed. It's this barrel http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/rxs244-27-243-cal-1-20-od-416ss-1-10-turned-bbl-blank/ I am willing to...

Did you resize those bullets after PC'ing them? If not they are going to be larger in diameter than .308 or .309. They might be large enough to be hitting the step at the throat of the cartridge case. That is what it looks like to me. james

im out of bullseye got lots of unique. I like to find the most accurate load but not at the expense of my rifle. I have a few ponds of W231 but i like to save that for my 9mm. Unique is so versatile i wish it metered better.

Yep, Reloader Special. It was the first press my brother bought and I used it a time or two and I liked it. In operation I could tell no difference between it and my rockchucker. Both are excellent presses. my experience anyway, james

Difference in folks I guess, I agree with #1, A little with #2, but am just the opposite on the rest. I am not a fan of the 450, but if a guy is, who am I to tell him, he is wrong. I went with 45/70 myself, and think it is the more logical choice,...

Thanks guys. I will drop back to 5 gr. That load seemed to shoot good enough to kill pop cans.

Try find a 35-303 anywhere else. 12 months is not that long of a wait if it is unavailable elsewhere. Be glad, not sad. james

I see lyman has loads for up to 7.5 gr Unique for the 45 acp with 200 gr cast boolit. All my other books call for more in the 5-6 range. Any one here try 7 gr unique? I have tried 7 gr in my just right carbine. Very accurate but has some recoil to...

I have a. sub 2000 gen II in 9mm and love it. Lots of fun to shoot. For what it is it's really accurate. Shoots 125 gr cast boolits with no problem sized .358. I like it better than my Just Right Carbine in 45 acp which i like allot.

Mary, what we called crab apples in east Texas, I never knew they were edible, I think it may be different from what you are calling crab apple.

Well I am going to be a little different here, if you want a 450, get a 450, I would go 45/70 myself, but I am not you either. That said I would never buy a gun (any gun) because I had some handloads coming, that someone else loaded, period. If...

Depending on which drags it was, it usually ran about 15 bucks, including a pit pass. The harley drags tickets, cost a little more at 25 bucks, but the ticket was good for all 3 days too.

The ones that I saw bring the biggest crowds were the harley drags and the run what you brung anyone can race races, I have been to some pretty good drag races where, there were probably less than a hundred people in the stands too.

It has been a few years, but I used to get stuck in Vegas every now and then, if it was over a weekend, I would go to the races. I didn't relly care what races they had going on, even paying for a pit pass, it was the cheapest entertainment in Vegas...

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."
