Are you wanting an original configuration military barrel or will a sporterized one work? I think I have a decent sporterized military barrel in my stuff. If you can use it, and I can find it, the price will be the postage to send it. Please advise.

If you don't have a copy of Graeme Wright's book "Shooting the British Double Rifle" you should get a copy as it has a tremendous amount of information that you will find useful. Most of the 450 BPE rifles used a 365 grain bullet but there are...

Back boring the muzzle of VZ 24's is quite common and was most likely done because of muzzle wear from cleaning. Why rebarrel when a simple back bore will fix the problem especially if you have a large number of worn rifles and your thinking of...

WOW! what a find. A wonderful addition to any collection. I've never seen a real NRA sporter in person. The Springfield sporters I generally see are from Bubbas Shade Tree Gun Shop and tractor repair or perhaps the muppets gun shop. I have friend...

Congratulations! Be careful as may you catch elk fever. It's highly contagious and is generally caught as you are looking down at your first dead elk and thinking "WOW I did it", then "oh my goodness now what do I do". The symptoms vary but...

If they are 6-48 you probably won't find them at a hardware store. Find a local gunsmith he will have scope mounting screws of different lengths in 6-48.

Bob, My plan, at least for now, is to make a two piece rod that screws together and then carry it in a scabbard, hung from a sling across my shoulder, like some of the early musket bayonets used. If I am hunting and get a shot I will pull the...

I just read an article by Gill Sengel in Handloader magazine, #324 February 2020, that indicates the 320 revolver and the 32 short Colt are the same cartridge. In the same article he states that Winchester still loads the 32 short Colt round.
