Unless you had a high primer it wasn't a slam fire. Did the primer show a firing pin indent?

Easy enough to test with a primed case. Chamber the primed case and pull the charging handle back until the bolt rotates slightly and pull the trigger.

For the folks that believe you can fire an ar out of battery take a primed case and try it. The bolt has to be fully rotated before the firing pin can reach the primer. The video clearly shows and the OP stated he manual cycled the next round...

No with the Dillon swager if you adjust the swager too deep you push material into the bottom of the primer pocket. This seems to only be an issue with 223 due to the small size of the internal support rod.

In the video the you can't tell if you ejected brass when you manually cycled it but I would bet you did. I am far from an expert on blown AR's but I have inspected and or repaired 9 or 10 that had blown. In addition to building ar service and...

All primers back out and are reseated by case pressure. Even with zero headspace the primer that was below flush become flush after firing.

Try firing primed cases in a revolver. Most lock up solid due to primer movement.

Not blackpowder. The Armstrong mix was the most common. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cap_gun https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armstrong%27s_mixture Potassium nitrate is not impact sensitive nor is sulfur or charcoal.

Lapua generally is the brass of choice for high accuracy needs. Federal seems to be softer and the primer pockets loosen the quickest.

I wish all revolvers came with a .0015" barrel cylinder gap, that sure beats getting one with a .009" or whatever sloppy "acceptable" tolerance is allowed nowadays. I'm sorry to hear it has issues though, hopefully it will be taken care of by Ruger.

Take your neck expanding button off or get the Redding carbide button. Steel buttons with not enough lub on the inside of the neck can pull the shoulder forward.
