If you have 5 round magazines or are available I would try to cut the 5 rounders and reweld them into a 10 round. Wolff has a generic 22 magazine spring that you could cut to length. Another option would be 3D scan, a 5 round, extend it to 10...

They are a machined magazine and not stamped out. They fit only the model 37. The design is complex enough that it is not practical to duplicate it as an aftermarket. There is a least one person making a single shot adapter aftermarket. The...

I am still looking for a jig mold for about 10 years. That is my record time. I lost a lead ladle for 6-7 years. I got a out a clay target thrower and the ladle was in that box. Laying something down and looking for it 10-15 minutes is nothing.

I don't think it is the lube. With the softer lead I would seat a few boolits and then pull them. I would measure the pulled bullet diameter. The softer bullet may be getting sized down when you seat it. Die manufacturers almost always have their...

You are in CA. but in my area I would look at the Amish made furniture. I recently stayed at a lakeside rental where all the furniture was Amish made from Walnut. The dinner table was a 12 place with a solid walnut top about 1 1/4" thick. The chairs...

wv109323 replied to a thread Coleman stove? in Casting Equipment
With the Coleman you need a pot that sits on several of the bars of the grate. I had a pot almost spill with molten lead. The bars bent when hot and the grate fell down on the burner. I would limit my smelts to around 30 pounds.

Both have their own personalities. Brass is heavier but not unreasonable if 4 or less cavities. Brass seems to be more tolerant with mold temperature. I seem to get a place in the mold where the lead sticks to the mold which makes bullet release...

You should not have flashing on your bases when they drop from the mold. It sounds like your sprue plate is loose or warped. I would work on eliminating the flashing when the bullet is cast. You can improve your bases by standing the bullets on...

I think you will be alright but you made the same mistake I made. The size of the bore will determine what size your bullets need to be. The unpredictable is 9mm's are from .355 to .359. In my pistol it required a .358 bullet to properly engage...
