Once set up there is little to no maintenance. The bullet punch and lube supply holes need to be the right height to align with the lube grooves in the bullet. The dies have three heights of 3 of lube holes. Two of these need to be blocked (usually...

Do you know how old the Win. brass is? I suspect that all manufacturers quality went to pot when demand for their product was high. Did you test any of the faulty ammo for accuracy? I could see 2-3 thousands in neck thickness causes accuracy.

Since the weather has most of us indoors lately what books do you consider "must read" books about the bible? I am looking for reading material since I got most of my winter reloading completed.

Manufacturers size their dies as if everyone is using jacketed bullets, thus the neck expander is undersize for "fat" cast boolits. There are some vendors that make custom dies which may be the route you will have to go.

The RCBS or NOE or MiHec or Saeco would be a better quality mold than the Lee. I have no experience with Lyman. The MiHec is not readily available but an excellent mold. I would recommend the H&G68 profile. If a 2 cavity RCBS fits the need that is...

I think Lathesmith is a vendor here that will make your Star dies. I use White Label lube that is a vendor here also. I use Carnuaba Red and 2500 plus. You can't make it for what you can buy it for. I would hold off on the air pressure kit and...

I have heard that Penn Bullets are of excellent quality through Bullseye pistol competitors. The storage implies that he is busy supplying his more common bullets to the masses.

I think there are other factors that affect accuracy more than just bullet weight. One is the fit of the boolit to the bore and the second is a sharp flat base of the bullet. I recently cast several 200 gn.SWC for my Bullseye pistol. I visually...

My experience is that bottom pour is excellent for multi-cavity boolits under 250 gn. Large boolits like 500 gn. May benefit from ladle casting. My thoughts are that you can get the lead into a large cavity faster and with some "pressure head" with...

The overall length of of my handle is 9 3/4 inches. The rod I would guess is around 8" and the rest is wood handle. The force applied to size the bullet is around 8". Both mine are held on with cap screws with washer and lock washer.
