Either your mold, alloy or sprue plate is too cold. The base is also rounded and a void is present. I would preheat my mold and sprue plate, raise my alloy temp to 725. Get the molten lead into the mold quickly. Try casting fast so that you get...

My thoughts are a bigger generator to run your tools. Also I would use a car battery and battery charger to run led 12v lighting. I would compare cost of gen. To wire.

God created nothing evil. At the end of the days of creation God sums it up as "good". Evil or sin is when man behaves against God or his plan. Since the fall of Adam ,we are born with a sinful nature and must learn obedience(behavior) to God's...

The Bible claims that God created the heavens and earth. If the aliens are from the heavens then God created them too.

I cast for .45 acp , .38 Spec. and 9mm. The things that improved my casting the most are a PID and a hot plate. Things that help are pouring directly into the sprue plate hole (get the lead into the mold quickly). Keep the pot over 1/2 full....

I read no where that Lucifers power was reduced or taken away from him after his fall from heaven. Lucifer had/has great power especially in light and music. Many of the objects involving lighted space craft ,I believe are from the devil. After...

With one of my grandsons, who wanted to "play" with my guns, I showed him how to check if the gun is empty. I used a bolt action rifle,semi-auto rifle and pistols and revolvers. I would use an empty cartridge to show him the difference between...

A hand full of years ago, Walmart had a catalog that you could order guns from. Prices were competitive as I remember. I never did order a gun so I don't know how it worked.

wv109323 replied to a thread PID Unit in Casting Equipment
The basics are $40.00 if you can wire it yourself. Top of the line components are $80.00. After I rebuilt the thermostat and wiring/terminals on my pot 3 or 4 times, the PID was an obvious answer to get rid of all that. The problems always showed...

It looks like the ssr was the problem. It is shorted across.

You may be right. If there is high load on the SSR (in my case the short of the element ) will the SSR fail in the "closed " mode? I reckon at simple continuity test across the ssr would tell me. I will test that.

I have used my PID setup for several years.(Auburn SYL 2352) I turned it on today and I heard a "pop" Somehow the element shifted in the pot and had the element grounded. I have a fuse in the PID but it did not blow. It knocked the 120V breaker in...
