Still remember one idiot from Sweden that came here to pick up a Linebaugh (which he couldn't begin to handle). He stayed a few days here and I took him shooting one day. I had a bunch of guns and different ammo and thought by his posts he had some...

make mine big and round if reliable expansion is your goal. Ive don't a lot of penetration testing and what I found with penta tips is two will expand well and one will do just the opposite and collapse inward and close the nose off. In all reality...

ruger americans in 6.5 creedmore because we all know you don't even have to aim with that combo. Slap on a bushnell zombie scope and your good to go. Fact is probably the most proficient sniper the military has seen was Chris Kyle and he used a 700...

I guess at my age even if it lasted only 10 years it was well worth it. Once fused your done with it. Nothing else can be done. With a replacement you allways have the option in the future to replace it and if it gets to the point you need it fused...

yup it surely does that. No argument that its a better round out past 500 yards for a paper puncher. But bottom line for a hunting gun a 260 is a better choice. If I shot 1000 yard comp id probably buy one myself and stock pile some brass. But...

I'm getting ready to down size my gun inventory. I'm starting with my Kahr CM9 which has been fired less than 250 rounds. It has the 3 dot sights and Packmayer grip. The trigger is so smooth on this pistol. I'm having a few medical problems that...

nothing wrong with buying one if you like it. Just gets a bit old when some internet expert wants to think hes somehow smarter then the rest for buying it. Heck if I had to justify what I buy id have a 22lr an 06 and a 12guage in the house and would...

I bought a 7.7 in a bar back in the 70s for 10 bucks. It was about like new and the ugliest gun id ever seen. there was a poor old ex logger that lived out by our camp in a one room cabin and killed everything with a 12 guage single shot and #6...

ya I even bought into that one. Had a 300 win and a 300 H&H and a 300wby at the time. All the press said that this round made them all obsolete. I went out and bought a browning a bolt in it and found it gave less velocity and didn't shot a darned...

yup I guess my train of thought is its no miracle round. Doesn't do any more then a 260 and less then a 264. Its mostly a ploy in my opinion to sell some guns. Sure it might shoot flatter then a 270 (questionably) but who cares out past 500 yards...

you are correct. The BC stock is a copy of the stock the marine corp originaly replaced the wood stock with. Pretty tough to get a 700 dollar stock on a 700 dollar rifle. Bottom line is its a big step up from the plastic stocks they use on there...
