I vaguely remember something like that MRP back in maybe the 80's. but I can't recall a good burn rate for it. if it is 4831 type then I'd go with what I wrote above, it's probably not a real good cast powder at lower velocity's.

Again, beware of possible feed problems with magazines for minimal taper 7 and 300 mag cases when converting/rebarrel to the tapered 375 case.

When you cast, and want your bullets to stay shiny, put them in a can of soapy water. Dump them out, and let dry. The soap film makes a barrier, and they won't oxidize.

since the 40's, maybe the early 50's anyway. if the epoxy is all dried out find an air spot in a tube and hit it with a torch for about 10 seconds. if it's tin it will start to sweat then crumble and melt quickly.

they meet a pressure window with the powder they get out of the train cars. they order powder by burn rate and it comes close from the powder company. for instance they say send us a trainload of 4895, when it gets there it might be 3031 or 4064...

I guess it would be easy enough to just wire tie two TCs together just so they stay out of the way. I was just thinking that two separate TCs would get in a tangle or something. Even better like OS OK said, two in one well would work too.

It was mentioned as a possibility and some other things to consider, not as what it was. Does that mould cast eggy bullets with other alloys?

Sounds nasty. I would let it go. You might get a few dollars worth of tin if you have a lot of tubes but is it really worth it?

I also favor the Lyman 375449 GC (the NOE duplicate does as well) cast bullet for use in my three six bits (M70). I cast them usually out of COWWs + 2% tin and WQ. Size them at .378 and seat a Hornady GC. Lube is NRA 50/50 or 2500+. My "light"...

May not be the mould that is the cause of "eggy" cast bullets. The blocks could not be fully together, uneven temp of the blocks during casting or the alloy itself. What alloy?

Can a single TC be wired to operate 2 PID controllers ,or will it mess with the reading if another load is paralleled? I'm going to figure out a reasonable way to use PIDs on a gas smelting pot. It will have 2 gas valves so I can have low, med, and...

it could be the powder too. titegroup will break down powder coating and many plastics. you don't want to leave the stuff in your powder hopper for too long.

the more expensive pots can leak too. my magma pot has an intermittent drip starting after 30 years of use. I'm gonna drain it and clean it out for the first time ever, maybe do a little lap on the rod and seat.
