Hobbsy, welcome to the forum. I can't offer much advice, due to you using PC on your boolits. I have only had failures when shooting PC boolits. If PC and casting are both new to you, I'd suggest not using PC on your boolits, and just lube them,...

A ceiling fan in an out of the way position will make use of some of that wasted heat, but it will also spread the dust more evenly.

303max, welcome to the forum. a quick answer to your question, "do i need a gas check for .44mag" The answer is: you do not "need" a GC. There is a lot of info in the "classics and Stickies" section. this one also addresses your question. ...

It's awesome that Lee might help you out. But really, it's the ebay sellers responsibility. If the ebay seller is a castboolits member, maybe they'll see this thread and send you a PM?

I had a X-frame S&W 500 with 4" barrel. I have a .501 550gr Round Nose Plain Base 3 cav. NOE mold from a group buy, I don't know if NOE still offers it? It dropped boolits right at .501 with COWW alloy. I also have a Iron 3 cavity Ballisti-cast...

This will depend on your own ability. Lee molds are easy to mess up, I have attempted many modifications on Lee molds, and I have messed up twice...but on the plus side, they are cheap to replace.

I agree with what Robert states here. and just to be clear, I am talking about Mold temp, not necessarily alloy temp. Casting faster will keep the mold hotter. The boolits will tell you the mold temp. Poorly filled out boolits, mean the mold...

There doesn`t seem to be source for H&G sprue plates. I recently bought 15 of George Hensleys personal molds at an estate sale in the old Murphy, Oregon shop. Most are 4 cavity. The sprue plates, handles, and screws had been removed. Mold blocks...
