I do not (yet) load for 357 SIG, but I like how it duplicates the 125 grain 357 Magnum ballistics so closely. As felon repellent, the 357 Magnum flat-out WORKS. I have fired the cartridge in Glock and SIG-Sauer full-size pistols; subjective recoil...

In revolvers and ESPECIALLY in rifles, the 180 grain bullets make the 357 Magnum into a real game-taker. Such a good, useful caliber.

It is encouraging to see Colt trying to stay in the game. I really like the concept--6 shot, 3" barrel, 28-oz package in 357 Magnum. If good quality is there, I will buy one.

I have a steel swinger target advertised as being usable with 44 Magnum handgun rounds. It has been used within those guidelines for several years with the only damage being done to the paint job. Recently I ran some 22 Win Mag soft point and...

I have dabbled with Lyman #313631 in 32 Magnum and 327 Federal. The faster it is driven, the better it groups from my revolvers. From what Larry writes, I need to try this casting in my 32/20 levergun and in the 30 Carbine Blackhawk. Couldn't...

In the S&W M&P and the Webley-Enfield DAO I have in 38/200, I use the 202 grain NEI #169A (sized .363") atop 3.0 grains of Unique or 3.3 grains of Herco. These print where the sights look at 25 yards from the S&W. In the Colt Police Positive x...

    I am another Mid-Caliber Revolver enthusiast. Currently in the safe are a Colt New Pocket x 6" in original nickel (32 "New Police", Colt-speak for "S&W Long"), a S&W Model 16-4 x 6" from 1989, and a Ruger SP-101 x 4.2" from a couple years ago. ...

That is the ticket, right there. Or they graze on fresh grass sprouts in the dry washes is Spring, sometimes 200+ yards out. Offhand shots with 223s and 22-250s are the rule. Too much fun!

The clocked velocities for both calibers with 125 grain bullets are very close. SIG-Sauer's intent was to provide the same ballistics in an autopistol that the FBI's approved Federal #357B load churned up. The same day I fired the 357 SIG x 125...

I have only fired one 357 SIG, that was a P-226. Impressive cartridge for sure, and 14 357 Magnum-equivalent loads on deck is a great idea.

My carry load in 40 S&W is the WWB 180 grain JHP. These clock ~925 FPS from the Glock 23 and ~965 FPS from the CZ-75B. Using the Lee 40-175-TC (conventional lube groove) atop 4.7 grains of WW-231 in W-W cases with either CCI-500 or WSP primers...

The 9mm, 40 S&W and 10mm are not my idea of "Beginner calibers" for self-loading pistol/cast bullet exploration. The 45 ACP has a known & established track record as a VERY lead-friendly caliber and a large body of reloading data tuned to that...

That is my view as well--a whole lot more gun for a bit more money. If "saving money" is important without sacrificing durability & reliability, buy a Glock. The Sig-Sauers' high bore axis is off-putting to some people. I get along with it...

Nope nope nope--45/70 at Ruger flavor levels in a 7-1/4# rifle will let you know that the primers functioned. I do believe my shoulder blades collided to the rear when I lit off 350 grain Hornadys at 2100 FPS+. Everyone that buys the #1 or #3 in...

I cannot recall being present for a factory round failing to fire from a firearm in good order. Granted, I fire very few factory rounds these days, but I was present for hundreds of thousands of rounds being fired every year from 1983-2004 by my...

I am going to suggest something outside-the-box. This is inspired by the Nagant Model 1895 contraption/revolver reloading I have done. Do a "Tale of the Tape" on your revolver's cylinder length. I suspect its length is shorter than a 327...

I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.
