Here is a write up by a tester and comp shooter I got of the internet (I know the internet) the last sentence about sums it up. The 6.5 Creedmoore development came about because Dave Tubb, a famous high power rifle shooter was looking for...

That would quadruple the price and eliminate 98% of the properties. In most western states an individual water well is legal for home use. It is illegal to use that for large scale irrigation and for stock water on a large scale.

As maturity dawned upon me, the notion of beating my hands all to flinders shooting magnum revolvers lost its luster. The 41s went down the road, and 90% of my magnum revolver shooting these days gets done with "standard-weight" cast SWCs running...

I have a 2013 edition of Ruger Blackhawk in 30 Carbine. Its internal dimensions are about as perfect as can be--throats are .3085", grooves are .308" right on the dot. Cast bullets sized at .309" shoot very well.

Government wonks do strange things to help prop up their policy guidelines and long-held beliefs. I saw a bear at night in early 1982 at a mountain homicide scene south of Palm Desert. Cal-DFG insisted that I was mistaken, but I know what I saw...

I've loaded enough different chamberings over the years, much of it is now second nature. From the case capacity and bullet weight and design for a particular bore size, I have a darned good idea of which primers and powder will work best. I seldom...

M-Tecs replied to a thread 6.5 Creedmore - NOT in Factory Rifles
Running the long bullets in the .260 for magazine feeding requires the bullet be seated in the donut area of the neck. This creates issues since most competitors don't want to inside neck ream. They much prefer to outside neck turn. The 6.5...

I would recommend putting a ramrod down the bore, and comparing on the outside to see how much breech plug you have. The breech plug should have as much length as the bore diameter.

I find it much easier to cock the hammer, reacquire a proper grip and focus on sights with a much shorter trigger release than DA. Most Bullseye shooters did also.

Yes it will feed the very long bullets used by the long range competitors out of a 308 length mag. With the .260 using the same long bullets the mag runs out of space.

I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.
