    burch...here are some loads from older Lyman manuals...for 250 gr PB the one showing 7.8 gr of unique is listed as MAXIMUM.... hope this helps

    I usually shoot the 240 gr Keith with Unique, but I just purchased some of the 200 gr RN (0.430) from the vender here on the site. Again using Unique they shot very well this morning at 50 ft off-hand they all ended up in about a 6 inch square.

    BAZOO, My apologies, I gave you bad information regarding the drop of my 180gr Cast / 10.2 gr of Unique load at 50 yd relative to full power (150 gr J / 100 yd sight-in) the drop is approximately 5"

    in the 30-30 relative to my full power loads (150 gr J's @ 100 yds sight-in 1" high) my 10.2 gr load shoots almost dead on at 50 yds. I think at 25 yds the boolit would be climbing so I am not surprised you are shooting low at that range hope...

    I went out to the range early this morning....freezing weather....lots of fun ..very accurate loads at 50 yes. shooting the .308 Win Savage 99C and a 30-30 Savage 340 .308 Win load.....180 gr RN 0.309 with 10.2 gr Unique and CCI Magnum primers...

    that is a nice decent group especially for the first try. you might also consider Win748 for powder. I've had good success with that powder and a 180 gr Cast
