    On my earlier than shown above, Midway heater there is a thin layer of cork that does that insulating.

    I usually put wood handles on my casting tools. Makes them easier to pick up with gloves on and are stored in a rack right by the pots. The ones in the middle are to clean the spout. One of stiff wire and the other an allan wrench I ground down...

    To aid in both seeing and having a level surface I built this little contraption. Lead weighted and 4 adjustable legs along with the magnifying glass. Seems to work well as check weights are always right on.
