Uncle Grinch replied to a thread Odd Rossi 92 SRC in Leverguns

Have several 1911’s of various sizes and brands and have been carrying a compact RIA 45 for some time. Well was at my LGS this last week and was asking about something lighter. The guy showed me a couple of compact lightweight 1911’s... nice, but...

My choice is the classic 7x57. I have been using it for 40 years and still like it very much. Matter of fact, I’m building a Euro-style Carbine on a split bridge Portuguese Mauser that I had rebarreled to 7x57. You can’t go wrong with one.

Nice Marlin you have there. Those pistol cartridge carbines are real handy. I’ve got one in 41 Mag.

Your firearm may be the deciding factor, especially if shooting lever actions. Overall length also is a consideration with certain revolvers.

We have both Dish and a digital antenna. I get a sharp picture on the antenna but it’s limited to local channels. My version of Dish has over 200 viewable (no additional fee) channels of infomercials or duplicated (HD or regular) channels....

Uncle Grinch replied to a thread Windows... in Our Town
I keep my Dell laptop (Win 7) updated and try to minimize what I load on it. However it is so slow I have resorted to using my iPad, which can be very awkward at times. It is handy, but haven’t figured out how to drag and drop yet. New laptops...

I’ve had a couple of their stocks before, both the Classic, for my scoped rifles and the Prairie Hunter for my iron sight rifles. The Prairie Hunter shape allowed me to cut off the raised cheek piece which allowed proper eye placement for iron...
