I'd certainly like my old .45-70 back but in all honesty I just don't shoot enough anymore to justify it. I have lots of guns that hardly ever get shot. I know... just like women can't have enough pairs of shoes, guys can't have enough guns, but...

Probably a .156" pin. Seems like Lyman stuck with standard size drill rod. Most of mine are .156". Takes about 45 minutes to make one with an electric drill, a flat file and some knobs from Walmart's hobby section. Pin extends into the cavity 1/2...

Sounds like its good-to-go. Paint that critter with some bluing tint or black stuff, and carry on. There was a time in past years when aesthetics carried a lot more weight with me than it does now. These days, I am ALL ABOUT functional...

I'm in this camp. With 2 Model 14s at your house, a spare barrel seems like a great idea--since they are out-of-print now. 20 years ago, I would not have hesitated an instant to R&R that "spoiled" barrel. Today, I must be getting dotty or...

The Combat Masterpiece models in 38 Special are about as good as it gets as far as medium-frame 38 Specials are concerned. Specific to the focus of the this group--Cast Boolits--few calibers do better work with castings than does the 38 Special. ...

Add and 'Other' category - I load most pistol and small rifle on a Brown Bair three position press. The Hollywood Sr. takes care of the rest, and I have a TrueLine Jr set up for 38 Special.

As stated Milky Spore is for grubs. It infests them and kills them. It also depends on the weeds and the growing area. Here in Southern VA I have Condederate Violets (the white flower ones) in my front lawn and have not found anytihing that kills...

Satan cannot take, diminish, or remove what God has done in me. He cannot stop what God is doing in me, nor can my sin, for God works 'all things' to make me more like him. I will be made like Christ (Rom. 8:28-29), it is preordained by God. ...

Somers, Montana, a quaint little drinking village, with a severe hunting and fishing problem.
Firearms and related junk accumulator

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
