..............I use the mops 99% of the time for oiling the bore after cleaning. The other 1% is used after shooting corrosive primed ammo (30-06, 8x57 & 7.62x54R) with a water/windex mix. ...........Buckshot

My possibles bag is made from blanket material. All my shooting bags are leather. The Metis and Ute did wool shooting bags, and there are examples from a few other tribes. Whites generally used a bark tanned leather.

Randy the reason I like the Brenneke Classic is because of the wad stack ~ hard felt like material with plastic washers on either side. Nothing there to distort. I've seen the Gualandi wads crush somewhat off center which I think is due to the long...

What Hickory said! Who knows what powder the factory uses and if and when they change powders. Seems like a lot of work to open hulls to dump powder unless you plan to just cut them off to get the powder. I'd say not worth it even if you knew...

It will take a while to recover your grip strength as you will want to protect the stump for a while as its healing. Don't rush too fast to do pistol shooting with your right hand. But consider this as a perfect opportunity to reinforce your...

Gray Fox: I have been leaning toward the Stoeger 12 ga. Supreme Coachgun if I go new. If I can find a decent used Stoeger coachgun or full length (I can cut barrels down to 20") I'd likely buy it and try it. They aren't too pricey. I like side...

I have some of those Russian slugs on hand now. KrakenFan69 sent me 50 which was very nice of him. I tested some last spring but have not been to the range for some time due to very dry (and on fire) forest surrounding us. So far accuracy has not...

Thanks to Outpost75 for showing the photos of the 38 "Super Police" loadings above. These are my first views of the cartridge. I now also see where Lyman #358-430 (195 grain RN) got its inspiration. #358-430 was one of my first mould purchases...

I've had the same experience. When a business advertises as Christian owned and operated, I've learned to not do business there, because sure as shooting, they will try to screw the customer.

I tried using card wads for slug loads a couple of years ago. Not real successful! I had a bunch of shotcups I'd cut gas seal off and bags of nitro card wads so thought I'd try some wad slugs using the shotcups on a card wad column. I put two 12...

I'm sure that many Baptists will be very surprised to see who else is in heaven - and I was raised Baptist, too. Jesus said that we will know one another by our love, how we love one another. Not by our demonination, theology, or profession.

My salvation was established before the foundations of the earth! It is God who saves, none of me. That is what the Bible teaches, Reformed theology only highlights it. Anyone who argues that salvation has to do with my decision, other than simply...

The S&W "Victory" M&P 38/200 is a good shooter with decent service sights. NEI #169A atop 3.0 grains of Unique or 3.3 grains of Herco prompts about 700 FPS, and when they hit iron targets at 25 yards they make quite a WHOCK. The 150 grain #358477s...

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
