My best results were with air cooled wheel weights, and bumping up the nose to better fill the throat.

At two thirds of the price. I hope it works better than my Tikka T3 hunter. It is ok, but my el cheapo Ruger American kicks it's butt every time (both 223, bith 1 in 8" twist barrels).

The second, (good one) a friend scored cheap before me, and never fired. Took over a decade for me to end up with that one. :)

To get back on topic - gotta have a bunch of echinicia to make it worthwhile - it's the root that is the medicinal part. Mints grow well indoors and every where else, too. Lemon Balm takes over, it can become a huge plant. You really need to do...

Hey I paid $200 for a Baker side by side 12 gauge and a '29 Winchester 94 in 30-30. I sold off the Baker and kept the 94. Now I just need to find the time to work up some decent loadings for some PC boolits I just finished.

Again we are forgetting about the good book and the pitfalls of a prideful being. Boasting and talking down about others and their choices in life is not what Jesus would do or did. James wrote very well about the failings of man in a very concise...

I rest easy knowing full well that the person responsible for this horror show will have to answer to a higher power upon his/her demise and the penalty exacted will certainly exceed the fate of the poor dog. There is pure evil in this world and for...

    1) God is immutable - He changes not. Appearance of change requires another explanation. 2) The purpose of prayer is to move me closer to the mind of God, not to get my desires met. The closer I get to God the more satisfied I am. All too often...

What twist rate are you using as that will make a difference in accuracy compared to a standard mil-spec barrelled rifle.

There are campers for rent, so they can do that. Years ago I took a woman to a ten day rendezvous. She hadn't done much camping before. I found the afternoon of the second day, all of the potable water was gone. I asked her what happened to it?...

I put a deposit on one of these the other day (they haven't arrived into the country yet). It will be used for some hunting and mostly range target / plinking / cast boolit fun. Has anyone used one yet?

Local gunshop has Remington factory 218Bee for $AU179 for a pack of 50 rounds. I managed to form some Starline 32/20 new brass down to 218 by firstly partial size to 25/20 then anneal, then FLS to 218B; only lost 2 cases out of 50!

They did a run of 3.5 and 5" guns in the early 90's. I sold two guns and ponied up some cash for a 5" and waited as patiently as I could. When it showed, it was the WORST S&W I have ever seen, just junk from one end to the other, I should have...

My 5" Model 27-2. Over the past 40 years, I've owned 357's in barrel lengths from 2" to 6.5". I favor the 4", but my eyesight is beginning to favor the longer barrels. My first 357 was a Dan Wesson back about 1978 with a 6" tube. Smith & Wessons...

Somers, Montana, a quaint little drinking village, with a severe hunting and fishing problem.
Firearms and related junk accumulator

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
