Vz , Larry, run. Exactly what I was say but you guys said it way better. I bet if Waco can get all the parallax out of his scope and can load the gun without taking his head off the sock he might get rid of the 2 groups.

Take the barrel/action out of the stock and see if it will fire. If it does then something in the stock is blocking the trigger from fully disengaging the sear on the striker.

Soft swaged Hornady or Speer bullets should shoot fine over 4.8 gr Titegroup w/o leading like that so I doubt its the alloy. My first suspicion would be the lube. I suggest using a Q-tip to put another coat of LLA or the 45/45/10 on the drive...

I've used Jeff Cooper's suggested 7.5 gr Unique under a 200 gr cast for many years. Not my standard practice load but when I hunt with the M1911 or my M98 conversion it is the most common load I use. I also load 7.5 gr Unique under Hornady 185...

Might weigh some before powder coating. Also the alloy used can give a marked difference in bullet weight. Moulds are cut for a certain ally for a specific weight +/-. If you use an alloy with a higher % of lead the bullets will be heavier. If...

Guy In another thread I recommended a Dacron filler over 36 gr IMR3031 under your 350 gr bullet in the 45-75. That still should be quite safe but you may want to drop to 32 gr and still use the Dacron filler. That way you can work up to 1380...

I recently came into a quality of RL7 so I thought I would try it under the NOE 30 XCB bullet in my .308W Match M70 rifle. I initially tried 25 through 29 gr in 1 gr increments w/o a Dacron filler. The ES for those 10 shot test strings ranged from...

The decision is based on the burning rate of the powder, bullet weight and load density. With your 45-75 with the 350 gr cast bullet over 3031 if the load density (case capacity to the base of the seated bullet) is less than 80% then I would use...

Waco. Just because you have a low es does not make it a accurate load. I have some wolf 223 ammo that has shown a 5fps spread. But you put it on paper and it is a 3 moa load. You just need to find the load that has a low es and is accurate at...

Just because you have a low ES and SD does not make it an accurate load. I am in agreement with aggie. I think you need a very small tweak. How did you last 4"of your barrel look inside?
