I haven't any idea why everyone has a problem with cast in 9mm. I've been casting for it with several different molds and loading 9mm's since '69. I've shot my loads (thousands of them) out of many different 9mm handguns, subguns and a couple...

Loctite is a temporary solution, due to the heating and cooling cycles it doesn't hold very long. As previously said you have to be 100% sure you have the right tension before it sets up or :(:(:(

I have been loading the Lee C309-170F in my 300 Win Mag with 26gr of 5744. It's a soft shooting and scary accurate load. It works really, really well in that caliber. 5744 is one of my favorite CB powders, next to the discontinued SR4759.

The above mentioning word "compression" is being used wrong. The word they should be using is resistance. The bullet needs the resistance to be pushed in the bore to build pressure. If it can not build this pressure at the start you will get a hang...

I never found 5744 to be a good cast bullet powder in many cartridges with medium weight bullets w/o the use of a Dacron filler. BW/o the filler by the time you find a load where the 5744 is burning efficiently you are driving the bullet too fast...

I read somewhere :killingpc that adding equal parts tin and antimony creates anew "matrix" which is harder than calculating adding tin and antimony individually. That's why they're several recipes with equal parts tin and antimony.
