I think it might be several reasons, one being reloaders looking to save on higher priced J-words. Second, worries of ammo shortages/stockpiling. Third, which is the reason I joined here, laws in my state get swept through in the middle of the...

If your only shooting 50yards I'd go with the smoothbore barrel with IC or even a mod. and use Remington or Winchester foster style slugs. They should do very well in the Remington smoothbore barrels at that range and are very cheap.

I heard about this just yesterday. These cycles are pretty basic as habitat increases, the prey animals increase, as the prey animals increase the predators increase, as the predators increase the prey animals decrease when the prey animals...

While it's true if there are less predators there should be less predation if an area can't provide enough food it can't support as much game either.

Predators are a part of the problem but not because there are too many, it's because of the loss of habitat leave grouse or any other upland game more exposed to them. If the ground cover isn't thick enough they are more exposed during nesting, if...

I have a 24D in 22mag/20ga paid $300 for it a few years ago. Don't ever see Savage 24's around here. I had it imported from Colorado from a family member. I like the ability to have either option for upland game.

It's pretty safe to assume if you get several random unmarked bars of solder & blend them the resulting ingots will be about 50/50 or at least close enough for our needs. I take old roll solder and over hang the edge of my work bench equal...

The only gun I ever sold was a Mossberg 500 in .410 to my BIL & I don't miss it. That ammo costs 3-5 times what 12ga or 20ga ammo costs. Besides that gun, I'm not in the gun selling business.

It won't hold any weight and the hotter it is the more it sags. Ideally those 2"x6"decking boards shouldn't span more than 16". I would just use pressure treated lumber.
