You have a friend in Dennis aka Uncle Dino a VS here. His plastic base slugs are awesome, accurate killers. The lead slug is a few thou smaller than the plastic base solving your leading problem. At $25 per 50 order a hundred and they'll be there...

When I went to a lubrisizer in the early 90's my groups shrunk, my smoke was less and I was happy. The trade off was more prep time.

I won't say never as most of my lee molds get used or sent downriver. I do have a .358" 113 gr wadcutter that is single cavity. I keep wanting to see how 2 shoot in a 357 mag or max but never really get motivated to do so.

MT Gianni replied to a thread Fast food tipping?? in Our Town
I tip fast food because the only one I eat at is local non franchised. What rips me is when I go out of state and a machine has printed what my tip should be based on a total that includes a sales tax. Last one I say was $4.00 added to a $50 bill....

There is an older Alliant manual available from Castpics as well. I believe it is from 2001. It gives load data for Blue Dot in the 38 special.

I understand. I am so used to working the 1911 that I try to get pistols that work in a similar fashion. The fun part is I can carry the Taurus cocked and locked since applying the safety does not drop the hammer as happens with the Beretta....

Ohhhh, 10 gauge that’s a whole new world in the slug and buckshot game. I load hundreds of 3.5 inch 10 gauge with number 4 buck and 000 buck a year and they will for sure take you to your limits on the back end

Don't think there are any better people in the factory rifles forum either. This week I acquired nice coated 9mm bullets, brass, dies, small pistol primers and powder to load. My plan is to tell my wife, "look at all these boolits I've got. I...

With my lead mix and tumbling these for a hr. to remove sprue marks 12 pellets come in at 820.5 grains which is a touch over a 1 7/8 oz.

Leadhead, intentional or not you built a load with buckshot that works for several reasons and if I had paid more attention when RMc pointed these things out it would have saved me lots of trial and error. You have a 2 - stack load which doesn't...

Those 5 pellet OOO Federal 3" 410 loads are great medicine. I watched a buddy put 2 pellets in a snuff can at 45 yd from an old single shot long barrel full choke. One of his neices killed a doe at 25 yds with that combo from a ground blind.

How does it do with Jacketed? Is the bullet diameter greater than the bore? You are spanking a heavy bullet hard, have you tried pushing a medium weight with a mid range powder? To requote the late Bruce Bannister "When did a group get to be less...

An extended cab short box will turn around almost anywhere in the Northern Rockies logging roads. If needed you can sleep in the seats and it has much less of a tendency to show you what was behind you on slick roads.

My concern was the safety lever on the Beretta 92 needs to be pushed upwards to release the safety, which is the exact opposite of the Taurus PT92 and the 1911. I want my pistols to work in the same manner. I really don't care about the decocker or...

The Taurus PT92 has a frame mounted safety/decoder that works perfectly and doesn’t require a different movement of the safety from the 1911 to work as you might think. I like to be able to work my handguns in the same manner so I won’t make a...
