Anyone unsure of the .243 with cast needs to check CBA match records, one year a factory .243 Ruger 77 won all the marbles at cast boolit benchrest.

I would "MASHBURN" any Bee just like I would "K" any Hornet.....my .218 Mashburn Bee is lights out on varmints, easy fireform, extra velocity and cases last forever, unlike the std. Bee.

Of your two choices, I'd definitely get the C. Sharps 1885.

The CSA tang sight I got with my rifle displayed some slop, MVA and even Ukrainian sights which I have now do not display that same slop.

I run that boolit at 1.260 in my unaltered Springfield Mil Spec barrel and 3 other 1911 pistols with great accuracy and zero feeding issues. I size at .452. I don't currently use either of the powders you mention, but I load midrange loads from...

I picked up a S&W 929 8 shot 9mm revolver. It used moon clips and had to have them since the chambers don't have stops in them to hold the cartridges in place. The revolver is extremely accurate and easy to shoot well. That said, I can't shoot it a...

My experience is also with a Henry in 45 colt. No problem with cast at all. Quite accurate. No leading with the combinations we were using.

I would go with the 6.5 caliber. Could be Swedish 6.5x55, 260 Remington, 6.5x06, 6.5x284, or 6.5 Creedmore. The 6.5 bullet is more efficient than the 243.

I reload on a Lee Classic Cast turret, which means I do one case at a time. When I resize a case, it is easy to tell if one is cracked or a 380. The pressure on the handle is almost nonexistent with a cracked case as opposed to a normal one. Same...

When using shorts, you need to be sure and clean the chamber of your rifle( assuming it will also shoot LR). You can build up a fouling deposit in the front part of the chamber and it can make feeding and extraction of LR difficult. I know many...

WST is not only accurate, it is also very clean. Less powder fouling in the gun or on the brass. It also smells different in a nice way. I use 4.1 grains under both 200 grain SWC and 230 RN(both cast and jacketed).

Well I am a 223 shooter but don't see how this applies to either the Contender or Savage bolt. Sure don't shoot 3000 Whisperer or BO. You might consider rewording the title.

I started my 22 rimfire shooting back in 1962 using 22short hollow points. I used them for squirrels for years. I finally switched over to 22lr when I got into a place where longer shots were available. They are quieter than lr shells. I have taken...

Do yourself a favor after you get set up and pattern your gun/choke/shells at distance. Forget the 30" circle, get an 8" splatter target on a bigger piece of board to see your real killing pattern. Good luck and keep us posted.

Richard Lee comes close to stating it, but leaves it very much implied in Modern Reloading Edition 1 pages 125 and 126. He leaves us with his opinion that if a bullet needs sizing it is poorly manufactured and designed implying that his are not.
