You can cast in whatever temp you want to cast in. That pot has no electronic controls (well modern electronic controls) Now if you are using a PID controller then you need to really stick to above freezing ambient temp. My supplier said the...

I am sure it is a nice air rifle for sure but I can't personally justify spending that kind of money. I will have to say, I thought about getting one of those .357 cal air rifles that use standard projectiles.

based on your budget figure ($1500) https://www.grizzly.com/products/Mill-Drill-with-DRO/G0758Z# Already has a DRO from the factory. has the R8 spindle I would not purchase a mill that didn't have 3 axis DRO or at least had a easy to...

There could be a couple issues. Incorrect extension wire as mentioned Incorrect TC setting in PID Imagine a curve with a number 10 in the middle of the curve. A K type may see that #10 as 500f A J type may see that #10 as 400f If your PID...

The one of the TC wires should be red. That is +. Make sure that is hooked up correctly. If it’s hooked up backwards the temp will go down when you grab the probe with your hand

This is the wrong section for discussion. I will move the thread after I answer. Auto calibrate will not change the temp that it is reading. Auto calibrate is for the PID to learn the heating characteristics of the device it is hooked too. ...
