    Go Badger if available and never look back. Green Mountain is a good barrel and are good shooters but not quite up to the standard that Badgers were. Just my opinion your mileage may vary. RB

    That was a ton of information for sure! I was happy to find the part about how to take the bolt out but I haven't tried to do that yet. I did get a chance to shoot it yesterday, blowing snow, wind, and about 24* but I was rather pleased at the group...

    Thanks for all the information I did buy the rifle but unfortunately bubba had gotten got his grimy hands on it sometime in the past. He cut the stock off out in front of the rear band and also the bayonet lug has been removed. the barrel appears...

    Anybody know anything about one? I have a shooting buddy that I'll meet this afternoon that has one and wants to dump it cheap? Says it's in real good shape the bore is perfect and doesn't think that it has ever been fired since it left the factory....

    Platinum that's what the long range guys use. I have been using a platinum nipple in a bench rifle firing hundreds of shots and have not been able to measure any erosion yet. RB

    I have used that rear sight on a few rifles and they are OK they are little difficult to get adjusted but once you get them where you want they lock down OK. What are you going to do with the rifle? Hunting I would go a bead, gold, white, or plain...
