Looks to me like someone skirting the law by saying "For Motion Picture Use Only"....or at least THINKING they are skirting the law. Kind of like the hooker asking the undercover cop " are you a cop?" thinking if they answer "no" they are safe.

I am confused. How can a "two stroke" (down and up for one sized/lubed bullet) be nearly as fast as a Star with one stroke (down for one sized/lubed bullet). Logic says the Star would be twice as fast. I'll admit to having used the Star for many...

Fred: Many thanks for the info. I will look for something locally. I just can't pay as much for shipping as the item itself! I'll do some research, for it seems that many think this stuff is just repackaged lithium grease anyway! Anyone care to...

Hey....I'll bite....what is STOS? The lithium grease seems to help but I still have to yank the plunger pretty good to get it out. I am still learning after some 40 years of reloading and casting!

There is something to be said having completed the first step of the winter casting and reloading projects. The 2500 H&G 51's are done (cast sized and lubed) and in coffee cans. Next up is to reload them all in 38 Special w/ 4.0 gr WW231. That...

I cast for and shoot pistol caliber subguns. ONE range session alone justifies the Star!

I do it a bit differently - I have ONE Star sizer but each sizer die is set for a particular bullet. They are stamped on the top what bullet they are for. For instance, LatheSmith made me a sizer die and stamped it 51gc. I can heat up the Star,...

I cast about 2500 H&G #51's over the last week in the evenings. Lots of lead was changed from ingot form to bullet form. I just sized and lubed 1000 of those in about 2 hours, taking my time and used 2 1/2 sticks of Magma Red. The 51's have a...

There has been some study on medical marijuana helping the symptoms. Not sure where you live it is legal but don't rule it out.

I cannot do the casting in 4-6-8-10 cavity moulds without a mould guide. I have a 10 cavity H&G S55 that casts 380 bullets for the M11A1 subgun that empties a pot in short order. BUT the mould guide is an absolute must. Makes the job tolerable and...

Man, that is an understatement!....as you know. I bought a flat new 8 cavity #503 that I really can't wait to try out. I bet I can pump out a lot of bullets with that one!

The man cave was moved back into the horse stall in the barn (not used as a horse stall in 100 years!) because my SO moved her massage practice to the home. The former man cave was remodeled (very nice work) and the new man cave will be insulated...

I smelt my ww's and lino into 1 lb ingots and use 5lbs ww to 1 lb lino for my 20 lb pot. Been using that mix my entire casting life. I put the ingots on top of the pot to preheat and drop them in when the pot gets low. Rinse and repeat. I think...

The links to Grumpa's posts will provide you with a wealth of knowledge. I bought 300 reformed 32-20 cases from him about a week before he passed. I have everything I need to cast and reload, but the move of the man cave to the horse stall in the...

I was gifted a 1924 made pristine Savage Sporter in 25-20. I scrounged an original magazine, moulds, bullets and brass for it. I bought a bunch of brass here from the late Grumpa, who made them from 32-20 brass. Somehow he figured out how to make...
