I specialize in bolt action rifles, and can do just about anything to one you might like. And I don't allow AR types or others like that in the shop. I just don't want to deal with the typical type of person who owns them. So no, not all 'smiths are...

It's been a long time since I was playing with the nagant revolver, but I did discover the real point to it. Shooting black powder. All the fouling stays in the bore, and kept to it's pressure limits it is quite a bit more powerful with black than...

If you shim the mainspring with some leather like you do with a SAA, you can reduce the trigger pull considerably.

That's the right way to do it. Also notice the notch on the front of the cock. If you guns don't have that, get out a file or Dremel and do it. It directs fragments away from the eyes, and helps split the fired cap for easier removal.

Or keep the original barrel in a closet and make a new one for it so you can go shoot. Put the old one back on if you want to sell it some day.

I am glad that we have the caller ID option on our land line phone. When the phone rings, actually not very often anymore, if we don`t know the number or the name we just let it ring till my `I`m not here` message comes on. Most of the calls ring...

My 44-240-sil makes beautiful bullets but they're .427". Not all is lost though, they're perfect to patch up to .433" for my 1894 Marlin. Pretty useless otherwise.

adam20 sometimes you have to accept the way things in life turn out. I don't like the city but situations have made it where I have to be. My life would be great if I could be out in the country and not have close neighbors.
