Lee, Dillon, RCBS, and Hornady have all been excellent. My only bad experience was with Lyman. I needed a new pan. They wouldn't sell me one. They wanted me to send my scale in, and pay for the pan, AND for them to calibrate it. I ended up, ordering...

In 1962, I had a Llama 1911 style pocket .380. The gun was a wonderful little piece but pretty worn out so it went down the road. Over the years I have acquired 2 Colt Government Model .380s with several spare magazines. They are the best little...

MN allows face to face for residents on handguns. No FFL required unless you purchase them for resale. Than you are in business and need an FFL.

Most of the issues are with the semi-auto's. I have Sako Quads, CZ 452 and Contenders in 17M2 and the Magnum Research in a Semi-Auto. Neck and shoulder cracks are more common than with the 17HMR but in either they are not a problem or a safety...

Your friend is giving you bad advice. Rimfire's erode from the glass beads in the priming compound. With a borescope you can see it at about 20,000 rounds. On target rifles 50,000 rounds without loss is not unusual. I know of one range rental...

Never tested for static but I have shot Blackpowder in cardboard tubes and a couple of junk 45-70 cases with 22 cal jacketed at about 3,900 FPS without detonation.

One of the main issues with the early 17M2 in semi-auto's are dirty chambers. Later some of the manufacture oversized the chambers to limit this issue than cracked neck and shoulders became an issue. I have one of the first Magnum Research 17M2's....

I, personally, would remove the safety from the #1 if I wanted to use it as a long range black powder target rifle for casual matches or gong shoots. On the target range, the safety is not used and the thumb piece interferes with ejection. If you...

I agree with old red. A hickory/pecan stock will give you a heavy club with all the beauty of an axe handle that has (maybe) some figure. Hickory/pecan is hard on tool edges and difficult to work with a tendency to tear when carved.

Red dots are fast at close quarters but, due to the size of the dot, they will not provide the precise lay of the gun that is had by a telescope. My favorite telescope sight is an old Khales 2.5X on a M70 Win. That -06 has killed many deer for me...
