    Lyman cast #4 lists the 429421 bullet min as 4.4 gr of 231 in special case at 679 fps and 7700 cpu this would probably work for what you want but be careful till you know for sure.

    My Lyman cast bullet #4 lists max Herco load for the 358156 as 7.5 gr at 41000 cpu's in a 357 mag. I'd question the 11gr.

    9 mm's head space on the case not the rim. You say it is happening in all your 9 mm's so is it possible your cases are too short and thus going in to the chambers so far that the firing pin is not contacting the primers on the short cases?

    Read some where it can be used for subsonic loads and was designed for the 300 blackout. But have not found any data. I got it for use in my 17HH but have not had a chance to try it.

Biography:
I have been reloading since 1970 when I started with shotgun while in HS. Have an civil engineeering degree and own my own company doing mining consulting work for clay, quarry stone and sand and gravel mines in Colorado. I have done this for 37 years. Just started casting this month (May 2014). I shoot both rifle and pistol and fish and elk hunt.
