If your resizing die is long enough the there is no problem. I use my 45 colt for my 454's but mine are RCBS carbide. Not much different from 44spcl to 44 mag.

Just enough to take the sharp edge off each half between the cavities. I leave the edges alone in the cavities so it only lets the air out as they fill. That way I get better base fill out.

I sometimes have to put a bevel on the sharp edges on the top of the mould where they meet. This makes a shallow "V" that lets air escape. I use a very fine ceramic stone to lightly hone the edges.

I use the Frankford Arsenal one and like it. Just won't work for 17 Hornet, that tiny rice grain size neck is just too small for the primer punch. I use it for everything from 300 wby to 223 and all pistol cases while watching TV. The punch is stout...

Live catch trap with a blanket over it, baited with cat food. You should then gently and quietly pickup the trap without disturbing it too much to make it spray. Then stick a hose from your running cars tailpipe under the blanket and gas it.
