I've got a Lee 309-200-R mold and it does pretty good and I'll work on trying some 'slower powders" than 2400 and 4198 with it. It's just that the 314299 worked well at all power levels I tried and I just want to get a 3xx299 to keep going...

LGS near me sells cast pistol boolets Thought I'd see if they had any ~100 gn 32-20 boolets. Should save casting time and no alloy issues for subsonic loads. Would give me some trigger practice at 50 yds to improve my skills for cheap! 8.5 gns of...

I like the way the ADI chart lists the powders. I was fooling about with 4198 range powders in my .30's and found that my results tracked their data almost exactly. I was looking for a slightly slower than H/IMR-4198 for 155-200 grain boolets...

I had two Daisys, A red Ryder and a knock off that the guy next door had cut the stock off at the pistolgrip. I couldn't shoulder that one but got very good at hip shooting ants off the ant hill from 10-15 feet. I bought a cheap break barrel .177...

I have a bunch of 92 gr .30 Luger/Mauser boolets left over from my broomhandle and tried them in my .308 with 8-9 gr and 700x. very fun and okay at 50 yds. I'm gonna do tat again until I shoot up all those 92s. these are a plain based boolet so no...

In my .308 and .30-40 I've found 2400 to be very effective at higher than the "starting load" in .30s of 16.0 gr . I found increasing the grains up a few makes a lot of accuracy difference. I've seen this effect also with 4198 and call it "getting...

I bought #200 of Lino in ~30 lb pigs 24" long and just put on ~ 6" end over my concrete pad then struck to overhanging end with a 4 lb hammer. Broke easily into 5-6 Lb chunks for a 20 Lb Lee led pot. No chips to catch and I reduced the whole...

The best, most accurate boolet I've tried for my Krag and .308 have been 314299s sized .311. I had been loaned the mold by a friend and gave it back to him. Being a broke minimalist I have resisted splurging on a mold. Having some extra cash...

I was thinking about the availability of .218 brass and the cost of it, if you can find it. Mid-South has some Horanady .218 and wants $40/50. I read about the problems with the thin 32-20 brass and thought maybe a wildcat .224x327 Fed Mag...

700x is a mouse fart powder in my view. 6-10 grs will give ~.22 LR velocities and be good plinking with light bullets. The 314299,sized and GC'd with 2400, 4198, H-322 and maybe even 3031 will make you happier at a lot higher velocities.

Just adjust your seating die up a turn or two from where you crimp and adjust the seating stem for correct OAL. THe when you crimp, adjust the seating stem up out of the way and turn the crimp down. I assume the 10 mm is not roll crimped.

A2400 is good in .308 and .30-40 with cast and of course .357 and .44 mag. I had a problem with my Python and found that the unburned 2400 had packed up the ( thing that indexes the cylinder). Cleaned it out after several thousand rounds.

YOU might try 19-20 gr,2400 my .308 likes them better them a little faster. Also try 4198 (24-27 gr) and H-322 (~30-32 gr). If you're flush get a Lee 312-155-2R mold, and or a 309-200R mold. These seem to work well in my 1:10 20" R77. None of...
