My son mistakenly went off on a job leaving his RCBS tumbler running. A few days later, when he got home, he went to the reloading shack, and the tumbler was sitting there going ' Hmmmm'. He gave it to me to fix, I called RCBS, told 'em the story,...

I have 2 Lachmillers bought used - they are basically the same as the RCBS LAM. I believe they are the better of the two, more robust to my thinking. I also have a Star I use a lot, even for rifle boolits, but I generally use the Lach's for GC...

Echo replied to a thread What did you cast today? in Cast Boolits
Didn't cast any boolits, but smelted some alloy - 15+ lbs 5.5%Sb, 8 lbs Pb, 1.4 lbs 50/50 solder made up about 35 lbs of good alloy. Too Dam hot to be out in the sun very much...

I believe a grain or 2 won't make much difference in 100-yd group size, for most of us, in 165 grain or larger boolits. If we are shooting at 500-yd targets, different story, and samo if we are chasing sub-minute groups.

Back in the day I had great luck with the Lee 140 gr GCSWC in my Blackhawk. And the 358156 is also on my 'Great' list. Both GC designs, and accurate w/15 grs 2400 back then. I now recommend 14 grs for a max...

Echo replied to a thread Uncovered lubed boolits in Cast Boolits
I bought a SAECO furnace and a box full of solder snippets from an old rummy LGS owner who was retiring. Took 'em home, and decided to check out the solder snippets (about 5 lbs worth). Good thing - I found about a half dozen small primers. Think...

If in front of the TV, I see who/what is calling, and if I don't know them, it rings 4 times and quits. If on the computer, I answer, say 'Hello', and if I get no response in about 2 seconds, I hang up...

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)
