Sorry to hear of the passing of Bill Ruger Jr. We have lost many of the early pioneers in the firearm industry. Ruger has a firm foundation and should be good if the bean counters and lawyers don't mess it up.

I'm loading coated cast (heavy 147's) in my wife's 43 without issue - so far I think she's fired most all of the first 500 I loaded without issue.

There are so many good responses to the question of ww or 50/50 mix as a hunting boolit, I don't expect to add much to the gene pool. But I will relate my experience over several years of deer hunting and one black bear in eastern Canada north of...

Congratulations to you and your family Pipefitter at the birth of a first granddaughter. Sounds like she is a dandy and already able to twist you up and around. That is exactly how it should be too! You are going to have the time of your life with...

Got a rifle that wasn't functioning properly - it was an inch Self Loading Rifle that was acting as a single shot. The Coonan receiver had some extra material that needed to be removed and reset the head space. The bolt would move a little but...

Hogtamer that is such a wonderful memory of hunting doves on opening day with your dad. It touched me down deep. So much so that I read your post to my wife. I got something in my eye and had a little trouble seeing my screen. That memory with your...

Thanks from me also. I do have a wood lathe. I haven't turned anything on it in a long time. It is an old Craftsman that has a separate extension base that I can spread out to get the 5' if I need to. I just never extended it out that far before. I...
