I used to put out a salt block (white), and a mineral block (red). I agree they are good for the deer and also they are visited often by deer. Unfortunately my county is in a CWD zone and salt blocks are prohibited.

All I have to say is WOW! We are indebted to those who serve. I pray a blessing on all veterans and am thankful for the price they paid for our freedoms. We must guard against those who would take it away with the stroke of a pen.

Beerd beat me to it, but I will also say what beautiful country to hunt in. Sounds like the first place you "hunted" was being run by folks who don't know about or appreciate good hunting. Sixshot, you certainly have it down pat when it comes to...

RugerFan, sorry you didn't get the big brown bear you were hunting. I have only seen pictures of Sitka deer, but from what I have seen, your buck seems enormous for the specie. I agree with the above post that says it looks like you had a successful...

Wayne, I have a touch of back pain that I deal with. Not terrible, but I can identify with the pain you are experiencing. Back pain is some of the worst pain I have had. Only thing I think may be worse is a bad tooth ache. It is easier to live with...

Wow! What a neat experience. Congratulations all the way around to you on this buffalo hunt. You did it just exactly right. I'd be safe in saying that what you have just done, complete with firearm, load, and all is on almost everyone's bucket list.

Charlie this is a good word for today. I should say Word of the Lord. We need to be reminded that we are engaged in battle. Our fight is not with flesh and blood, but is a spiritual battle against Satan and his empire of fallen angels. All of the...

Battis, I can only speak from having a wood stove for the last 40 years or so. Our wood is "free" in that it is here on property for our taking but it does take a lot of fairly hard work. and requires lots of time as well for the chain sawing,...
