I checked on my order from Optics Planet. Been a week today. Waiting on 300 BO M die, lee factory crimp die, and a chronograph. Still says order processing.[smilie=b:[smilie=b:

I ran across a link to those Lee inline presses that some of you have used for this project for $25 (factory seconds with buggered up paint). I’m thinking about getting one of those as a slight upgrade to my Lyman in-line then using the Lyman as an...

Well that looks a lot more complicated than what I was thinking about doing. Care to give a brief summary of what all that stuff on the right side does?

Ran across this idea on NOEs forum. I think it would be awkward sizing on the upstroke, and the person who made that setup had to add a weight to the handle. I’ve been using a Lyman press that has a handle that can be configured backwards. If I...

Last night I tried out my new Accurate mold for 300 BO. Forgot to clean it and was getting badly wrinkled boolits. Cleaned it with a teeth brush and barkeepers friend, smoked it with wooden matches and it started making some better looking boolits....

Bashby replied to a thread Alloy help in Cast Boolits
I will be powder coating. I did a pencil hardness test with a set of artists pencils a while ago but I don’t remember the #. It matched up with typical range scrap #s posted on the internet. I need to start taking notes.

Bashby started a thread Alloy help in Cast Boolits
The only boolits I have cast so far are 9mm, and I have been using range scrap of unknown hardness. I now have a mold for a 300 Blackout AR I put together recently. I plan on loading subsonic rounds. I think I may need a harder alloy, maybe range...

I stacked them so I have a fairly flat surface to set another bucket on.

I was worried about the bottom of the bucket cracking when stacking them. I thought about cutting a few circular pieces of plywood to set on top of the lead, then set a bucket on top of that so it distributes the weight evenly.

When I started casting I was trying to spend as little money as possible so instead of buying an ingot mold I bought a muffin pan that does 12 at a time. The best idea Iíve come up with For storage is putting 60 or so lbs in a 5 gallon bucket, then...

I’d look and see what Accurate molds has in that size range.

Melted down some range scrap yesterday. Made 12 dozen muffin pan ingots averaging a pound each.
