OK, thanks all! I'll load up with 8-9gr Unique and see how things go. Any other bits of info is always appreciated. Thanks again.

Thanks popper and iMigraine. Hadn't thought about a gas check. Are they needed with 8-9gr Unique and that bullet? Or, am I good? Thanks.

Loaded up some 30-30 rounds with 165gr RNFP coated with 8 and 9gr Unique. That sure looks like a small amount of powder in that case. I need to find a powder that works close to that pressure and velocity, but, fills the case more. Suggestions?

I don't know, but, I have two of 'em. One full, one empty. I put the empty one in my wife's China cabinet. Interesting result.

I have a 8oz can of SR-4759 that is still in perfect condition I loaded some reduced loads for a disabled friend. Sadly, Kerry is no longer with us. Will this powder work in a .45 Colt lever rifle using 250gr LRNFP bullets? And 30-30 using 165gr...

Much appreciated smoked turkey. I have the Lyman #50, so my "close" was what you mentioned, just wanted a bit of assurance. 8gr Unique is where I'll start and probably go no higher than 9gr. Ironically, 8gr Unique is my load with 250gr LRNFP in my...

Just joined this forum today to get info on a load that I don't seem to find in manuals, altho, some come close. I have some Missouri coated 165gr RNFP to load in my Mod 94, 20" barrel. I'd like to use about 8.0gr Unique or perhaps 2400. Brinell...
