    Ones I find like the bottom are just painted lead and cut easy with a side cutters. I get a LOT of them that are 4oz+++ from the truck tires the co-op replaces.

    Both of those are great choices, but I would go with a 7x57 Mauser, had one in this caliber and regret selling it. No recoil shooting factory ammo or handloads, shot flat and around 1&1/2 inch groups at 100yds!

    I prefer the smaller ones for baking... those monster potatoes are to big for a meal. My potatoes didn't produce much this year, all were tiny thumb sized. Tasty though! Everyone around here got hit my some kind of fungus that took out potatoes...

    I make them for company(makes to many for just myself)They don't need a lot of smoke so I cover with foil to finish at which point they can come into the house and the oven if you need smoker space for something else.

    I will chip in my two cents worth. I Have had 4 different Marlin 1895 in different guises, still have the first year Guide gun, ported, ballard rifling.It will shoot cloverleafs at 100yds, with 4 different Jacketed loads, from 300 gr to 405 grains....
