The guys doing Ham MESH stuff use them for backbone links sometimes... have to make a new bracket to tilt them on the horizon instead of up at a satellite. The LNB's didn't get used but they get scavenged for parts...

Not cheap but not high end, an Yaesu FT-991(a) used can go for $700-900 and covers 160m thru 70cm. And does Fusion for the repeaters. Plus it will do SSB/CW on VHF/UHF opening up that possibility. Quite a few weak signal guys down in your area that...

Scan it and share it! I would be interested in it too! I use CFE pistol for 9mm mainly, jacketed loads and one cast load so far. CFE-223 is also very good for th AR crowd! Cleaner and cuts down on barrel cleaning time.

Congrats and welcome to the madness! Don't get hung up on FM ad repeaters only, there is a lot more to ham radio! With your license you can work 10 meters voice when it is open, there are VHF/UHF satellites, VHF+ weak signal which I love due to the...

The Benchmarks are great barrels, I have a 30"bull with very little taper on my 6.5x284, and it has been a screamer from day one. It shoots 1/2 MOA out to 1100yd, the furthest I have tried it. I also have some Krieger CBI barrels, their button rifle...

I have one of the 1867 models, that has the 5 sided bore like Whitworth ML does. It is 12.7x44R caliber, which is 50 caliber. I use Lee .500 molds that cast a 465gr slug, don't size them and load them in the brass with a light crimp. I have used...

The 1-9 twist will stabilize up to 69 grain jacketed bullets, and in some rifle 77 gr slugs. This round really shines with these heavy bullets, as all5 of mine love them, and they are big enough to kill deer with a precise shot in the vital, out to...

No, I’m limited fairly severely as well. I ask, as I had a cousin build one off my measurements from a couple barrels I have, and was charged $100 for the lug and forearm lug. I about choked!

What price is “right” for you? I have no idea, but have wanted lugs also and wondered what a reasonable price is for a lug.
