Garrison Joe, Yes it has the tang safety and the rebounding hammer. It has the full magazine, with the takedown lever on it, and has never been taken down.

Tarbe I checked and it is not drilled and tapped on the upper left side of the receiver, but would be a very easy job to do. It is made by Miroku, in Japan 00Buck, same as the Brownings.

I like that a lot, used the same type shotgun when I was a kid, we could buy old used Iver Johnsons 12, 16, and 20 gauges with a bulged barrel, or dented barrel for $25=30 bucks. We would saw the barrel off till it was barley legal. Then we would...

Worst case scenario, is that you have to shorten the barrel 1" or more, recrown. I have fixed several ML's like that, that had the rifling wore from using an abrasive aluminum or fiberglass rod without a muzzle guard. On all my ML's I shoot in...

There could be several things to consider besides the barrel on a Encore! You might want to look at a new hinge pin, different springs while at it. You can get them from a guy who use to work at TC and knows what the Encore was designed to be, not...

If you like Chinese buffet chicken wings 5 spice is the seasoning used. I rub some into the wings, let them marinade in the fridge a few hours with a bit of soy(like 1/2 teaspoon per wing) then flour and deep fry.

I always catch a half dozen 3-4 pound carp in spring when they are cleaner and the water is cold. Brine and smoke then vac pack in snack size portions. Great stuff to just munch or on a rye cracker.

Cutting the mud line out of carp helps remove mercury and other pollutants because that is a blood line and they concentrate in it. I do the same to catfish, filet it out.
