I was referring to fake powder. If a trace is there, it will corrode.

I love going to my post office. Not because it's convenient, not because I can buy stamps and money orders there. I love mine, because the post mistress has bodacious breastial development that is always a treat to see, especially in the summer time.

When you do that, you push the fouling down to the top of the projectile, leaving a nice place to make a corrosion ring in your barrel.

Being in Georgia, I would assume it is rather humid. I would pull and clean.

Just remember that even half-jackets have to be loaded with care to prevent barrel leading so I'm not sure what the advantage that a half-jacket or Quarter-Jacket would have over a standard gas checked bullet other than covering potential lube...

And the rifle is pretty much considered a blackpowder firearm anyways due to those Allin Conversions having cast-iron receivers.

Remington put a lot of 10 twist barrels on the 260's. A 10 twist is too slow for 140's and 9 is marginal. I believe the VLS was a 9 twist but should have been 8 twist.

Pyrodex is far more corrosive than real blackpowder.

What powder? Real black I would not clean, however, Pyrodex would get cleaned ASAP.

I use Coleman fuel in my lighters. Never noticed any bad taste. I'd sent my old Zippo in a couple weeks ago, with a worn out hinge. It was returned, new hinge, and brand new interior!

Tyrants use the force of the people to chain and subjugate-that is, enyoke the people. They then plough with them as men do with oxen yoked. Thus the spirit of liberty and innovation is reduced by bayonets, and principles are struck dumb by cannon shot: Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma
