Put the broken expander to the side. Install a decapping rod (or 22 cal expander). Size and decap the brass. Then use a Lyman M-die to expand in a separate operation.

Mine is probably 25 years old made in Australia. Absolutely no redness to it. The Universal is approximately .050 diameter vs Unique at .060. Can you sprinkle some on white paper and take a clear close up picture? ...

Thanks lar45 for getting a pic up. Yes, he has Ruger replacement blades as well as 1 piece base sight arrangements for a few different Ruger barrel diameters. I picked up a few of those from him also, for future purchases that I want to put an...

Hello all, I'd like to tell you about a new front sight I just got from a member here, who goes by 2 dogs on the forum. He just made me a front sight for a BFR revolver in .475 Linebaugh. While the BFR's are fine guns, they have a few short...

If you can contact Veral as I have in the past, ask his opinion. As Masscaster noted, you basically just need to keep the same nose profile and nose to crimp length as your existing mold, and just add weight below, at this point it will feed and...

While the same # appears on the receiver ring and barrel, something seems "off" The font doesn't look like a home gunsmith stamped it, but doesn't look quite factory either. I'm betting it was rebarreled at some point in its life. I will try and...

I slugged it and did a throat slug too, came out to .2885", so as junkbug mentioned, seems to be a run of the mill loose 7mm. Thanks for the information.

It is a Gew 98. The bore looks very good, with sharp rifling right to the end. It is a long barreled rifle with the "roller coaster" rear sight. I will do a full slug, but i'm betting I get a similar #, and .292" is a long ways off the .284" of a...

Hello all, I have an old Mauser that a friend owns, and I am trying to determine what caliber it is. The receiver ring is stamped "Amberg 1918". The serial # is 1327, and the barrel matches the receiver. Now according to all I read online, this...

Its always worth testing, but I agree with the others you likely won't see much if any difference. I spent a few months dialing in my 6" K-38, and tried H&G, Lyman, Ideal, RCBS, and ended up using a LEE. The LEE made 6 versus 2, and shot every bit...
