Get a towel, Uncle Grinch, and dry off...….. ;) Shimming a rear scope mount base does nothing to the reticle, it will merely tilt that end of the scope "up" when it's raised, thereby lowering the POI and/or bending the scope main tube slightly...

. FWIW: Some scopes have a difference in adjustment range between the windage & elevation adjustments. Often, successful zero can be reached by simply rotating the scope in the rings 90-degrees, making the former windage...

You also probably won't like the tang safety on the new Winchester/Miroku Sporter, which makes mounting a tang peepsight a little difficult. kungfustyle gave you the best option, short of finding a original - which could give you a reloading...

. The cupped end of the RR is the ball end when loading. Tight balls can be seated via starting the ball as above & finish seating it and then pushing the entire gun including the small end against a handy stop (tree, stone, wall, etc). .

You must lead a sheltered life...…. ;) H&R has been constantly making firearms since 1871, even through the company/product has changed hands 3 or 4 times before the latest owner, Remington, shut down the production of their products. Think...

. The Winchester 64, based on the Model 94, was introduced about 1932, and was supposed to replace the CF Model 55 (there was also a single-shot auto-ejecting RF Model 55 in .22LR). Model 64 SN's were in the 2,200,00 range when the model was...

You can most likely save yourself some aggravation, and figure out if ANY reborer (including Jess) will bore out your .308" barrel to .358". The barrel can only be bored out to .358" if the completed rebore leaves a barrel wall thickness of .125"...

Nobody knows for sure, but "RK" was a code header for several different finishes Remington used, and most likely add the "W" for advertising zip. Walks, I'm glad to hear you missed out on wrinkling your Remington's finish. .

. The thing about Remington stocks with the shiny factory/RKW finish, whether rubbed down to a satin finish or not, is that if the stock ever gets good & wet (like slipping/falling into a water puddle), the finish will be forever toast (unless a...

I may be preaching to the choir, but...……. I sleeve a chamber via boring out the damaged chamber slightly oversize, being mindful of the barrel OD inside the front of the receiver(ring). I then turn the outside of a steel slug ( or a section...

Yes. Filing that inside lug will allow the extractor body to lie closer to the bolt body, and thus not bind against the inside of the action - IF it's the proper extractor. BTW, all Mauser extractors are factory designed to allow the cartridge...

FWIW, I'm thinking that you're seeking a hen's tooth, and would suggest an alternative. The chamber can be bored out larger from it's rear end to the start of the rifling leade, then sleeved with a soldered-in appropriate steel insert, and the...
