    . If I wanted another .358W, and liked the Long Ranger, I'd obtain one in .243 or .308 & send it to Jess ( www.35caliber.com ) for a rebore to .358". .

. Your problem's going to be the fact that not many parts (like the hooked breechplug) are barrel thickness (size) specific (the seller may not know from whence it came). .

I'm unclear about your reply, since not all "Police" model handguns are used/surplus PD equipment ( many were also sold commercially by both Colt and S&W) - were your revolvers actually once PD property, or are they used commercial "police" models ?...

. I would respectfully suggest you pose your question in our handgun (wheelguns, pistols & hand cannons) section, ILO here in the factory rifle section. FWIW, a used PD handgun should NEVER be bought w/o a personal, hands-on inspection....

Have you tried re-positioning the wrench every 1/8-1/4 turn of the nipple ? . :bigsmyl2: If push comes to shove, the nipple would need to be drilled out with a bit that's smaller in diameter than the threads in the breechplug, then the...

Breech plug size depends upon the barrel size. The Hawken & the Renegade were made with both 15/16" (thick, measured across the flats) & 1" barrels, and those two breechplugs are not interchangeable. Renegade's were made in .50, .54 & .58...

I've liked & used Skinner sights for over 12 years, and found that Skinner's been great to deal with, even after the new ownership/change. I've used the Skinner LoPro peepsight to make a bolt peep sight for more than a few Rossi Model 92's both...

If you use the top-mounted Skinner receiver peepsight, you'll need a new front sight blade that's commensurately taller (about .10") than the issue front sight blade, due to the new/higher line-of-sight - for a clean sight picture through the peep,...
