With loads of 30-34 grains, 150 sp, they were mild, low recoil, and no signs of pressure. GREAT. I can proceed to go up until I see signs of moderate pressure. Something to note, one load shot a 5 shot little round group, that could be covered...

The idea of reusing a bore snake with old solvent and crud in it, is kinda like putting on a wet swim suit. Yuck.

If you are into speed, there must be something to LeverEvolution powder. They seem to get more fps than was previously possible. I haven't tried it, as it looks to appeal to those that push the limits...which I don't usually.

Thank you Sir. That is pretty much how I determined my starting load. The goal is not necessarily to work up a load with 150gr jacketed bullet, but doing so would be great for hunting. I hope to use this powder for a variety of cartridges, from...

Well, I started with 30gr of H320 in a 7.62 nato brass behind a jacketed 150 bullet. In a FR8 mauser. I yanked on the trigger with a string, being cautious. As I expected, no signs of pressure and is likely a very mild load. Good. I can work up...

Loose front sights usually produce horizontal stringing. Did your previous groups have that? Nice looking bullets. Dan

Thanks to all of you. Loaderdewd, good information and understanding not putting load data out (although I understand you don't have for this). I have what I need to get started with it. I have worked up surplus powders in the past, never knowing...

Sorry fellas, it is a very short extruded powder, not ball. I'll try to post photos tomorrow or the next day....busy fighting poverty. A little history, my Father used to work at Delta Air Lines, the guys in his shop were buying bulk powder,...

oconeedan replied to a thread Real Black Blues in Muzzleloading.
Real black powder is dirty. I can get 2 or 3 shots without having to swab, but at the range, swab every shot. The benefit? Real black powder goes bang easier than substitutes, I think it is more reliable. Also very consistent. I have never...

So...still not coming up with any load data for H320. So Loyd (or anyone else), if H320 is similar to AA2200, is this similar to DP2200, as mentioned in Accurate Arms data? Click on this pdf:...

I am glad you were able to bring it back home. I have killed more deer with my SBH than with any other gun, lost count...and all cast bullets. Dan

There is not a lot of love for anything Turkish or Spanish, and the price reflects it. If you choose carefully, you can get a fine shooter for less money. And...sporterized rifles are inexpensive (usually). But excellent deer rifles. Dan

Everyone talking about screw torque, pressure on barrel, etc... No one is thinking inconsistent velocity? For me, vertical stringing is something inconsistent in ammo, such as primers, powder, NECK TENSION, etc. Horizontal stringing usually...
